Secret Recipe Stuffing
serves 12-15 people 1 1/2 c. chopped onion 1 c. chopped celery 3/4 c. butter 1/2 lb. ground pork sausage 1/2 c. chopped mushrooms 8 c. small french bread cubes 1 1/2 tsp. sage 1/2 tsp. rosemary 1/2 tsp. nutmeg 1 cup chicken stock 1 large egg, beaten 1/2 c. dried red currants
Sauté onion and celery in butter. In another skillet, cook mushrooms and sausage. Pour off fat and add to onions and celery. Combine mixture with the french bread and add seasonings. Add chicken stock, egg and currants. Stuff turkey just before serving.
